The Goldsmith Family Foundation
Category: Regional
DescriptionThe Foundation focuses its grantmaking on support of students in the Baltimore City Public School System. Particular interest is given to innovative and effective programming within individual schools and by offering public school students access, through their schools, to the cultural and scientific institutions of Baltimore. Grants are awarded for curriculum enhancement, teacher and principal training programs, cultural institutions providing programming for Baltimore City students, tutoring and mentoring programs, after-school programs, and summer learning opportunities. The Foundation does not fund endowments, individuals, building campaigns, deficit financing, publications, or events. Trustees meet four times a year, typically in the third week of January, April, July, and October. Proposals are due by the end of the first week of those months, though early submission is greatly appreciated. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
