Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the most geographically diverse private landowner in the nation, with approximately 6.6 million acres in major timber producing regions. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on community-based nonprofits that work to improve the general welfare and quality of life in the communities that the Company serves in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Priority is given to organizations that offer community services as well as those that specialize in education, the environment, and the arts. Community grants support organizations that improve the quality of life and provide services that might not otherwise be available to residents in the communities in which the Company operates. Education grants support educational programs and organizations that enhance learning experiences for students of all ages and help kids become self-sufficient and productive within their communities. Environmental grants support organizations that provide environmental stewardship and awareness as well as those that teach environmental education. Arts grants support organizations that creatively deliver quality arts and performance programs. Additional information including funding guidelines can be found on the Web site.
