Description

The Foundation dedicates itself to promoting healthy watersheds through good land management throughout key ecosystems in Texas. Priority is given to ecologically and financially sustainable land management that will enhance water retention and minimize erosion in watersheds. The Foundation’s mission is to demonstrate sustainable land management practices at Dixon’s four working ranches in North Texas and West Texas totaling over 15,000 acres. It also funds an annual grant program that promotes the Organization’s mission throughout key ecosystems in Texas; promotes landowner education; and fosters public awareness about healthy living through healthy watersheds. The Foundation makes grants for projects, preferably in Texas that addresses its mission. The Foundation only accepts grant applications sent by e-mail. Copies of each proposal should be e-mailed to: Robert Potts at rpotts@dixonwater.org Some additional information can be found on the Web site.
