Description

Developed with money from the H.F. Ahmanson who created Home Savings of America, at one time the nationís largest savings and loan association, the Foundation serves Los Angeles County funding cultural projects in the arts and humanities, education at all levels, health care, programs related to homelessness and underserved populations, as well as a wide range of human services. Areas of support common to those areas are construction and renovations, equipment and furnishings, technology and infrastructure, property acquisitions, transportation vehicles, and software, books, and supplies. Through its grantmaking, the Foundation strives to enhance the quality of life and cultural legacy of the Los Angeles community. The Foundation does not accept electronically submitted letters of inquiry and grant requests either by fax or via e-mail. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
