DescriptionThe Foundation focuses 85 percent of its grantmaking on conservation of natural resources in North American and the Caribbean Basin. Priority is given to marine resource conservation and management with a particular interest in fisheries. Grants also support the ecosystems of South Florida and environmental issues in Alabama. The Foundation awards grants to pre-selected environmental organizations in Washington, D.C., and population and environmental initiatives nationwide. Most of the South Florida and Alabama grants are site specific and require a 1:1 match. Letters of inquiry are required. E-mail inquires are encouraged but do not send duplicate hard copies.
