The Broad Foundations

DescriptionThe Foundations were established by entrepreneur and philanthropist Eli Broad to advance entrepreneurship for the public good in education, science, and the arts. The Foundations include the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation and the Broad Art Foundation. The Foundations’ mission is to transform K-12 urban public education through better governance, management, labor relations, and competition. Grants are also made to organizations and programs making significant contributions to advance major scientific and medical research and to those fostering public appreciation of contemporary art by increasing access for audiences worldwide. The Foundations also support major civic projects in Los Angeles. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
