Description

The Trust supports programs and organizations researching, treating, and preventing cancer and pediatric illnesses. Grants are awarded to organizations, primarily in Washington, D.C., that provide care or treatment of economically deprived D.C. residents suffering from cancer or childhood afflictions. The Trust may occasionally fund the purchase of equipment used in cancer diagnosis and treatment. It also makes grants for the care of children, residing in Washington, D.C., who are physically or mentally ill or handicapped, and for education or prevention of diseases common to childhood. This may include societal behavior patterns that have a negative impact on the welfare of children. There is no funding for endowments, building programs, or capital campaigns. New applicants are asked to fill out an online form found on the Web site. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
