Description

The Foundation dedicates its grants to serving the people of the state of Utah. Of particular interest are projects and programs with the potential to make a significant difference in bettering Utah’s communities and enriching the quality of life of its citizens. Areas of funding include arts and culture, community, education, health care, preservation and conservation. Arts and culture grants support organizations that foster the enjoyment and appreciation of the visual and performing arts; strengthen the humanities and arts related education programs; provide affordable access for all Utahns to events and performances; enhance artistic elements in communities; and nurture a new generation of artists throughout the state. Community grants support organizations providing social services and humanitarian aid to help people in need. Education grants are given to colleges and universities to assist them in strengthening the quality of their academic and outreach programs, scholarships, faculty, and facilities. Health care grants support organizations offering health-care services and information in Utah’s urban and rural areas. Preservation and conservation grants seek to preserve and protect the natural environment as well as support organizations involved in historic preservation.
