DescriptionThe Foundation is dedicated to achieving social justice that is inclusive of sexual orientation, gender identity, and race. Grants are provided to ensure that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in diverse communities around the world enjoy greater equality. The Foundation also seeks to increase affirmation of LGBT moral equality, support equality in public policy, and full inclusion in religious life among people of faith as well working to increase respect and equality for LGBT people of color. The Foundation also funds programs seeking to preserve and protect the great apes. The Foundation’s LGBT grants are split into several categories: programs located in the state of Michigan, programs located across the United States and programs in the Global South and East.
