DescriptionThe Foundation’s Fund of the Sacred Circle supports Native American leadership working to ensure that indigenous cultures are honored, American Indians are treated with fairness and equity, and that the sovereignty and self-determination of Native peoples is secure. The Fund is Native-led, supporting projects that address systemic injustice affecting American Indian communities. The Fund supports American Indian organizations throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin addressing issues of racial, social, economic, and environmental justice. Priority is given to projects and programs in language and cultural revitalization, land and environmental restoration, sovereignty and treaty rights, and self-determination and civil rights. Funding ranges from $5,000 for planning grants to $10,000 for implementation grants. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
