Hawai’i Peoples Fund

Description

The Fund, a partnership of donors, activist grantmakers, and grantees committed to positive social change and a more equitable distribution of wealth, resources, and power, provides grants to progressive grassroots social change organizations working in Hawai’i. Grant categories include cultural activism, human and civil rights, environmental justice, economic justice, political organizing, and peace and international solidarity. Priority is given to projects that utilize organizing and education to promote social change. The Fund encourages projects that have developed a realistic plan for achieving change. Priority is given to projects that utilize organizing and education to promote social change. The Fund invites start-ups to apply. Full proposals must be received by March 1 and September 1. Faxed and e-mail applications are not accepted. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
