Category

: Regional

Description

The Fund, a $450,000 donor advised fund administered by the Topeka Community Foundation, was created by five health philanthropies serving the state of Kansas. The Fund provides short-term, focused grant funding to entities and/or partnerships that are positioned to apply for and manage federal grant dollars related to the Fund’s implementation. Awards will be in the $5,000 to $50,000 range for a term of up to six months. Applicants must be doing work in Kansas for the benefit of Kansans, and must have identified at least one federal Affordable Care Act grant opportunity for which they believe they can be competitive. Funds may be requested for grant writing assistance or support for preparing federal grant proposals; needs assessments; partnership development; and marketing and communications planning to name a few. Other appropriate activities and additional information can be found on the Web site. Proposals will be accepted on a continuous basis through Dec. 31, 2011.
