Description

The Foundation strives to improve the quality of life in the U.S. communities that the Company serves by supporting community-based nonprofits. The Company, which produces lumber, plywood, and medium density fiberboard also operates a real estate development business. Grantmaking is focused on human service organizations that serve troubled youth, needy individuals, senior citizens, victims of abuse; hospital and medical programs; cultural organizations; environmental education and conservation programs; civic service organizations; youth organizations; and educational institutions. When considering grant requests, the Foundation gives priority to four areas: community, education, environment, and arts. Plum Creek communities are located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
