DescriptionThe Foundation is dedicated to funding innovative and strategic projects that protect the environment in the Pacific Northwest including Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on projects that conserve large, biologically significant, terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems; the preservation of biological diversity; projects that broaden the environmental movement; and projects that strengthen the capacity of the environmental movement’s ability to communicate it’s message. The Foundation accepts letters of inquiry for projects related to these interests except from organizations in Alaska, which are by invitation only.
