Frances Hollis Brain Foundation
Category: Regional
DescriptionThe Foundation’s mission is to help alleviate human suffering and to improve the human condition. Its grantmaking is focused on nonprofits that benefit individuals living in Kentucky, Georgia, and Maine and that increase access to health care, support human services, provide access to educational opportunities, or promote self-sufficiency and the ability to provide for self, family, and community. Priority is given to organizations and projects that support the underserved, the disadvantaged, or those who do not have the resources to provide opportunities for themselves, and that demonstrate a broad base of community support. The Foundation will support new programs, ongoing programs, and capital improvements, and will provide, under certain circumstances, general operating support. The Foundation accepts “concise” letters of inquiry or will accept phone calls or e-mails. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
