DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the railroad Corporation. It focuses its grantmaking on educational, cultural, environmental, social safety net, and economic development opportunities within the region served by the railroad, primarily in the Eastern, Midwestern, and Southern United States. Grants support programs in education, primarily at the post-secondary level; community enrichment focusing on cultural and artistic organizations; human services that support basic needs; and environmental programs. Applications are accepted between July 15 and September 30 annually. Additional details can be found on the Web site.
