Description

The Foundation supports programs of national and international significance that promote the welfare of human and natural resources. The Foundation’s General Program funds projects in the arts; education; environment, conservation, preservation; health; and international. In addition the Foundation also makes grants through its Children’s Initiative and its Sustainable Forests and Communities Initiative. Both the General Program and Children’s Initiative are open to all applicants without regard to geographic location. The Sustainable Forests and Communities Initiative is open to activities in regions in which the family’s business interests originated: Idaho, Oregon, Washington, northern California, western Montana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
