Pacific Pioneer Fund

Description

The Fund supports emerging documentary filmmakers in California, Oregon, and Washington. “Emerging” is defined as a person committed to the craft of making documentaries who has demonstrated that commitment through several years of practical film or video experience. Organizations that undertake to supervise any project for which individuals receive funds are eligible to apply. The Fund does not support endowments, building campaigns, accumulated deficits, or ordinary operating budgets. It also does not award grants to individuals or support instructional or performance documentaries, or student film projects. Applicants are asked to submit up to 10 minutes of edited VHS tape footage of the project.
