Description

The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on innovative interventions that promote healthy mental, physical, and emotional development of at-risk children and families in Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia. Of particular interest are programs that support children and preserve families whose lives are affected by such challenges as poverty, physical, emotional or sexual abuse, addiction, and limitations in community support or of caregivers. The goal is to enhance the opportunity for each child to reach his/her full physical, mental, or emotional potential while being supported within the family unit. Applicants are asked to use the Common Grant Application and the Common Letter of Intent produced by the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers.
