DescriptionThe Foundation, the philanthropic arm of TD Bank, focuses its grantmaking by partnering with area nonprofit and public institutions to create meaningful change and improvement in the communities that the bank serves. Grants are awarded in the following areas: affordable housing and education/financial literacy. Affordable housing grants assist in supporting community revitalization and the preservation and development of affordable housing. Education/financial literacy grants focus on reading, writing, math, and financial literacy for all ages; pre- and after-school programs that reinforce basic learning skills; English as a second language; tutoring and mentorship; and education-focused youth development programs and initiatives. Grants are awarded to bank locations in Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Applications are reviewed quarterly. Check with the bank location nearest your organization for deadlines.
