The Canadian Women's Foundation

Category

: International

Description

The Foundation is Canada’s only national public foundation designed to raise and grant funds to meet the needs of women and girls. The Foundation supports women’s organizations across Canada that are using the most effective approaches to end violence against women, to move low-income women out of poverty, and to build strong, resilient girls who are empowered with confidence, courage, and critical thinking skills. The Foundation does not fund projects outside of Canada; projects not solely or primarily focused on women and girls (although violence prevention projects for teens may involve both girls and boys); and self-defense training (if it is the only component of a violence prevention project). Requests for proposals for violence prevention grants will be posted on the site in December, 2010. RFPs for economic development grants will be posted in November, 2014. RFPs for girls’ fund grants will be posted in November, 2011. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
