Description

The Program is the corporate social investment arm of the Archer Daniels Midland Company. The Program supports safe, responsible, environmentally sound agricultural practices in critical growing regions in North America, South America, West Africa, and Southeast Asia. The Program focuses its grantmaking on three areas: Strong Roots – helping agriculture evolve responsibly; Strong Communities – responding to local priorities; and Strong Bonds – extending a helping hand to colleagues in need. Under the Strong Roots area, the Program has made grants to support the World Cocoa Foundation and fund a campaign to help soybean farmers in Brazil. Grants in the Strong Communities area focus on programs and initiatives that improve the quality of life in ADM communities with an emphasis on educational initiatives for children and young adults. Strong Bonds grants focus on colleague-to-colleague assistance, workplace giving campaigns, disaster relief, volunteer programs, and in-kind donations. The Program also funds projects promoting agricultural development, agricultural education, farm safety, or related topics. Preference is given to groups in ADM communities that can demonstrate clear, measurable results toward stated objectives and a solid track record of success. Additional information including an online application can be found on the Web site.
