The Bay And Paul Foundations, Inc.
Category: General
DescriptionThe Foundations were formed in 2005 by the merger of two foundations: the Bay Foundation and the Josephine Bay Paul and C. Michael Paul Foundation. The Foundations focus their grantmaking on pre-collegiate education, conserving biodiversity, collections care and conservation, Native Americans and indigenous peoples, and music. Pre-collegiate education grants are awarded for school change proposals, student voice, service learning, math and science, and arts-in-education. The grants for math and science and arts-in-education projects are restricted to the greater New York City metropolitan area. Conserving biodiversity grants support research and intervention efforts on behalf of endangered species both in the United States and internationally. Collections care grants provide modest support for conservation and preservation projects to archives, museums, libraries, botanical gardens, and historic sites. Grants in the Native Americans and indigenous people category tend to be few in number and relatively modest. Music grants are also awarded only to organizations in the greater New York City area. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
