Areas of funding priority include arts and culture, education, the environment, health, human services, and public affairs/society benefit. The Foundation offers two types of general grants: program/project and operating grants. It also offers a limited number of rapid grants designed to provide funding to organizations that require immediate funding for needs that include but are not limited to: continuing a project, providing professional development, buying equipment or materials for a project, travel to advance a project, formulate a project idea, carry out a mandated law or event, or for seed money to begin a new project. Rapid grant requests may be submitted at anytime between February 1 and November 30 of each year. Letters of inquiry for general grants may be submitted either by February 15 or July 15 each year.
