Description

The Foundation seeks to serve as a catalyst for improving the health of Kansas citizens. It has launched a new, online grant proposal application process and released three new Requests for Proposals. The three types of grants are: bridge grants, capacity building grants, and Sunflower Trails grants. Bridge grants provide transitional financial support for new or expanded services for medical, behavioral, or dental care. Capacity building grants seek to develop or strengthen an organization’s effectiveness, efficiency, quality, safety, impact, and sustainability. Sunflower Trails grants help increase access to physical activity by building community-based or school-based walking and multi-use trails. Eligible applicants are nonprofits and organizations recognized as an instrument of state or local government. All grants must benefit the health of Kansans. Online proposals applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until Oct. 28, 2010. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
