Description

The Foundation, established in 1951 by Cordelia S. May, continues her philanthropic vision, which reflects her Pittsburgh heritage and her desire to preserve and promote the region’s culture, environment, and history. Her philanthropy embraced the values upon which the country was founded: its laws, its language, and its traditions. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking toward the following areas: arts and culture, vocational education, environment and conservation, health and human services, community development/beautification, and public service. Grants are awarded in Pittsburgh and southwestern Pennsylvania. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
