Description

The Foundation, one of the largest in Mississippi, was formed following the sale of Riley Memorial Hospital in 1998. It focuses its grantmaking on charitable purposes and to provide financial resources and assistance for communitywide projects and programs in health care, education, and the betterment of cultural, environmental, and economic conditions for the people of Meridian and Lauderdale County, Mississippi. Eligible organizations must be located in Lauderdale County or provide services for the citizens of Lauderdale County. Applications are reviewed at quarterly meetings in January, April, July, and October and are due by noon on Nov. 15, Feb. 15, May 15, and Aug. 15.
