Toyota Tapestry Grants

Description

The Company’s philanthropic focus is pre-collegiate education. TAPESTRY Grants for Science Teachers program recognizes outstanding educators who are making a difference by demonstrating excellence and creativity in teaching science. A partnership between Toyota and the National Science Teachers Association, the program awards grants to K-12 science teachers for innovative projects that enhance science education in the school and/or school district. The Program will award 50 large grants of up to $10,000 each and a minimum of 20 mini-grants of up to $2,500 this year. Funding categories are physical science application, environmental science education, and integrating literacy and science. All project directors must be a middle or high school science teacher who teaches a minimum of two science classes per day or an elementary teacher who teaches some science in the classroom. All applicants must have a minimum of at least two years of science teaching experience in a K-12 school, not including the current school year. Up to four staff people may work on the proposal.
