Puget Sound Energy Foundation

Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Puget Energy, the investor-owned parent company of energy utility Puget Sound Energy. The Foundation supports a broad range of community programs within PSE’s service territory and in other areas where the utility purchases or produces energy in the Pacific Northwest. The Foundation funds projects in the areas of human services, environmental stewardship, education/workforce development, and arts and culture. In 2009, the Foundation will focus its grantmaking on the community’s most vulnerable neighbors, encourage energy conservation and environmental stewardship, and promote workforce development of universities and community and technical colleges. Nonprofits that are located in and serve the people of Chelan, Columbia, Douglas, Garfield, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Kittitas, Klickitat, Lewis, Pierce, Snohomish, Skagit, Thurston, and Whatcom counties are eligible to apply. Additional information including an online application is available on the Web site. Deadlines are April 1 and October 1.
