DescriptionThe Organization’s Strategic Litigation Grant program provides funds to cover out-of-pocket litigation costs including expert fees, depositions, etc., that will help attorneys bring civil rights and other important cases that otherwise might not move forward. Funds are available only for out-of-pocket case costs, not for attorney’s fees or overhead expenses. The Organization will not consider financial assistance requests for cases on appeal that were lost in a trial or on summary judgment. Grants are usually awarded for cases that fall within the Organization’s legal agenda or are comparable with its legal history. Grants typically range from $2,500 to $10,000.
