DescriptionThe Foundation was established in 1922 to provide for the care, treatment, and rehabilitation of people afflicted with tuberculosis. It also supported the eradication of tuberculosis, and provided fellowship programs for physicians. Today’s focus is only on lung, tuberculosis, blood oxygen research, and/or equipment. Applicants should submit a detailed description of the project and the amount of funding requested. Most awards go to colleges and universities. The Foundation does not award funds for endowments or matching gifts. The Foundation reviews proposals twice a year. The deadlines are April 15 and September 15. Proposals must be submitted by mail.
