The Frost Foundation

Description

The Foundation seeks to address human service needs, environmental and education programs in New Mexico and Louisiana. Its grantmaking is focused on programs and projects that can generate positive change beyond traditional boundaries, those that encourage creativity to recognize emerging needs, and to assist innovation, which addresses current urgent problems. The Foundation seeks to encourage self-reliance, creativity, and ingenuity on the part of prospective recipients. It encourages collaboration, mergers, and forming alliances among agencies within the community to reduce duplication of effort and to promote a maximum effective use of funds. The Board meets twice a year to make grants, in mid-March and late September. The deadline for the receipt of information is December 1 for the March board meeting and June 1 for the September board meeting. Faxed submissions are not accepted.
