DescriptionThe Foundation invests in the future of rural America, agriculture and cooperative business through education and leadership development. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on five program areas: university partnerships, rural youth leadership development, cooperative education, returning value to rural communities, and farm and agricultural safety. The Foundation supports national efforts related to its mission as well as programs within the Company’s trade territory for regional, multi-state, or statewide projects. Giving outside of national efforts typically reaches the following states: Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Depending upon the circumstances, the Foundation may consider other locations. The Foundation accepts applications on an ongoing basis. The deadline is for the cooperative education applications, which are due annually on Sept. 30.
