DescriptionThe Foundation’s Skoll Awards for Social Entrepreneurship support nonprofits worldwide that are led by social entrepreneurs whose work has the potential for large-scale influence on critical challenges of our time, specifically environmental sustainability, health, tolerance and human rights, institutional responsibility, economic and social equity, and peace and security. With these issues, the Foundation is specifically interested in applications from social entrepreneurs working in five critical, sub-issue areas that threaten the survival of humanity: climate change, nuclear proliferation, pandemics, conflict in the Middle East, and water scarcity. The application process is designed to select organizations that most clearly align with the Foundation’s criteria. Applicants are urged to complete an eligibility quiz before proceeding and must have a track record of at least three years. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
