DescriptionThe Society’s Sanctuary Fund supports animal shelters and rescue groups’ emergency assistance efforts on behalf of animals that are abused or neglected. The Fund’s grants cover the cost of food, transportation, and veterinary care and used to help ensure permanent, lifetime care for the animals involved. The Fund’s grants have helped to rebuild shelters destroyed by natural disasters, rescue animals from abusive situations, conduct wildlife rehabilitation efforts, and support innovative spay/neuter programs.
