American Honda Foundation

Description

Established in 1984 in conjunction with American Honda’s 25th anniversary in the United States, the Foundation supports projects nationwide in the areas of youth and scientific education, including the physical and life sciences, mathematics, and the environmental sciences. Grants are provided to K-12 schools, accredited higher education institutions, community colleges and vocational trade schools. The Foundation also funds scholarship and fellowship programs at selected colleges and/or universities or through selected nonprofits; other scientific and education-related, nonprofit organizations; gifted student programs; media concerning youth education and/or scientific education. Grants are also awarded to private, nonprofit scientific and/or youth education projects; other nonprofits in the field of youth education and scientific education; and programs pertaining to academic or curriculum development, that emphasize innovative education methods and techniques.
