DescriptionThe Foundation and Fund support well-managed organizations that provide quality programs and create significant sustained benefits in the areas of interest to the founder and directors. The Foundation and Fund’s main geographic focus is the San Francisco Bay area. Primary areas of interest are science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and the environment. Secondary areas of interest are general education and youth development, preventative healthcare programs, and selected research projects. The Foundation and the Fund also provide limited support to selected civic, social service, and cultural institutions. The Foundation and the Fund do not accept unsolicited proposals and do not publish annual reports. However, brief letters of intent (not to exceed two pages) that focus on a primary or secondary program area and are within their geographic focus area may be reviewed. The Foundation and Fund do not provide endowment funding and do not make international grants. Additional information including details about their funding interests is available on the Web site.
