Blue Foundation For A Healthy Florida

DescriptionThe Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the insurance company, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, supports community-based solutions that address the health care changes facing the state. The Foundation’s mission is to enhance access to quality health-related services for Floridians, with a particular focus on the uninsured and underinsured. The Foundation’s current focus is on community health clinics and outreach programs. The Foundation awards up to $2 million annually in total grants during two proposal cycles. The deadline is for the winter cycle. Eligible organizations must have tax-exempt status and be located in Florida. In 2009, the Foundation plans to implement an online application process.
