Description

The Organization, with support from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, has launched Engaging Dance Audiences (EDA), a $1.5 million pilot program to analyze current dance performance attendance and to research methods of engaging new audiences for dance, learning from peers, and sharing the learning nationwide. The EDA program consists of four components, three of which involve direct support to Dance/USA members. The three direct support components are: project support, audience engagement research, and the development of a learning community. The fourth component involves field wide research on dance audiences. Organizational and individual members of Dance/USA may participate in this grant program. Individual members may be part of a consortium or upgrade their membership to become an organizational member and be eligible to apply on their own. Applicants must complete an online Field Survey of Audience Engagement Practices and an online Call for Project Ideas Form. These forms and additional information can be found on the Web site.
