Description

The Foundation’s mission is to bridge the gap in public funding so that firefighters have the best available equipment and training to meet the extraordinary challenges of a very dangerous job. The Foundation’s Jeremiah Lucey grant program named in honor of a firefighter who perished in a catastrophic fire in Worcester, Mass., provides financial support for the training and equipment needs of uniformed firefighters in board designated geographic areas. Currently grants are targeted toward professional, uniformed fire departments in New York, Massachusetts, and areas affected by Hurricane Katrina along the Gulf Coast. Letters of inquiry are requested; completing a full grant application is by request.
