Do Something Awards

Category

: Children, Youth & Families

Description

The Awards, formerly called the Brick Awards, honor the nation’s finest young world-changers. The winners represent the best in their field or issue and are rewarded with a community grant, participation in an awards ceremony, media coverage, and continued support from the Do Something organization. This year, five winners will receive a minimum of $10,000 in community grants and scholarships (if applicable). Of those five winners, one will be selected as the grand prize Do Something Award winner and will receive $100,000 in community grants paid directly to the nonprofit of the winner’s choice. Winners who are age 18 and younger are eligible for a scholarship of $5,000 and a $5,000 community grant. Winners age 19-25 (applicants must be born on or after Aug. 30, 1983) receive their entire award in the form of a community grant. Additional information and an online application are available on the Web site.
