National Aids Fund

Description

The Fund, with support from the Ford Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation, is awarding grants during the second year of its Southern REACH (Regional Expansion of Access and Capacity to Address HIV/AIDS) Initiative. Through the program, the Fund will award 20-30 grants ranging from $20,000 to $75,000 to community-based organizations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida (especially Northern Florida), Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Grants will be earmarked for three areas: organizational capacity building, programmatic capacity building, and policy advocacy. Applicants must have a demonstrated track record of serving communities at highest risk for HIV/AIDS. Priority populations include the marginalized, at-risk, and underserved populations. Applicants must be able to utilize the grant funds within the twelve-month period beginning March 1, 2009 and ending February 28, 2010.
