The Trust For The Meditation Process

Category

: Religion

Description

The Trust seeks to encourage meditation and contemplative practice among Christians. The Trust’s grantmaking is focused on organizations that reclaim and teach Christian contemplative traditions, the introduce meditation in the Christian community and that further our understanding of contemplative practice in all spiritual traditions. Grantmaking targets short-term projects where a small grant can make a credible impact and result in clearly identifiable outcomes. Grants have funded workshops, lectures, or retreats; books, supplies, and equipment for mediation and spiritual growth centers; and efforts to better expand and build the capacity of programs in Christian contemplation and address barriers to practice. The Trust has also funded research on meditation; publications that spread critical perspectives on meditation; and sabbaticals, retreats and other development for mediation teachers or group leaders. Because contemplative practice is a worldwide movement, the Trust makes grants internationally.
