Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the engine manufacturer and one of the oldest corporate charitable foundations in the United States. The Foundation’s mission is to serve and improve the communities in which the Company does business and to provide tools and means for people living on the edge of society to overcome the barriers they face. The Foundation focuses its resources on opportunities to embrace the diverse perspectives of all people; balance investment in innovation with continued support of the important; emphasize partnerships, risk-taking, and measureable impact; and leverage the Company’s people, connections, money, products, and services to make a difference. Support for local projects is made only in communities where the company has manufacturing facilities in the states of Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Types of support include annual campaigns; conferences and seminars; continuing support; emergency, endowment, and matching funds; operating budgets; publications; seed money; technical assistance; employee-related scholarships; special projects; and employee matching gifts. The Foundation accepts letters of inquiry at any time.
