DescriptionThe Foundation is dedicated to providing financial assistance to organizations committed to improving today’s world. It considers applications for grants for private education including elementary, secondary, college, and university institutions. It also funds programs for children, the developmentally disabled, senior citizens, civic and cultural institutions, social service agencies, hospitals and health care, environmental organizations, and religious institutions. Applications can be submitted between November 1 and March 1 of the previous year. Prospective grantees are notified in November. The application form and instructions are available after September 1 each year by written request only on organization letterhead. Phone, fax, or e-mail requests or correspondence are not accepted. Applications are available in paper form or electronically. Over half of the grants awarded are to organizations in Illinois.
