Description

The Company focuses its grantmaking on projects and programs in education, the environment, civic and community, health and human services, and arts and culture. The majority of the Company’s grantmaking is earmarked for organizations providing services to the Greater Chicago Metropolitan area. Education grants support K-12 math, education, or business courses related to entrepreneurship, capitalism, and/or marketing. Education grants also support mentoring programs; after-school programs for children and teens; and programs and activities at times when school is not in session. Environmental grants are awarded for sustainable development programs that educate and promote development that meets the needs of the present society without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Also funded are after-school programs that build environmental awareness. Civic and community grants fund regional efforts that build local competitiveness and strengthen the area’s economic and social base, as well as those that focus on volunteerism. Health and human services grants address safety awareness and implementation as well as food and nutrition-focused programs. National programs that can demonstrate how funding will support projects that directly benefit a Company community are eligible to apply. Arts and culture grants support after-school programs. Applicants are asked to apply online.
