Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation
Category: Health
DescriptionDomestic health professional education is the Foundation’s main focus. It supports programs designed to improve the education of health professionals so that, in turn, the health of the public is improved. The Foundation’s second objective is to enhance the representation of minorities in the health profession. Funding priorities include projects that improve medical and health professional education in the context of the changing health care system; projects that will increase diversity among health care professionals; and educational strategies that increase care for underserved populations. Also of interest are projects that demonstrate or encourage ways to increase teamwork between and among health care professionals. The Foundation does not consider requests for general undesignated support, endowments, equipment, or construction and renovation projects. Letters of inquiry may be submitted at any time and should include an initial budget.
