DescriptionThe Academy’s Shade Structure Program awards funds for the purchase of permanent shade structures designed to provide shade and ultraviolet ray protection for outdoor areas. The Academy also provides a permanent sign promoting the importance of sun safety to be displayed near the shade structure. The Program is open to organizations serving children and teens, ages 18 and under. Applicants must be sponsored by an Academy member dermatologist and demonstrate a commitment to sun safety within their organization. An application for the program is available on the Web site.
