Description

The Library’s Eastern Regional Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) program, administered by Waynesburg University, is accepting requests for grants. The Program works with colleges and other educational organization to deliver professional development programs that help teachers use the Library’s rich reservoir of digitized primary source materials to design challenging, high-quality instruction. The Program is designed to develop a consortium that fosters collaboration between the Library and the educational community in order to increase the use of the Library’s digital primary resources in K-12 classrooms. The program is accepting proposals for the following: the integration of primary sources into K-12 education; existing pre-services and graduate level education curricula; and teacher professional development programs. Projects must conclude before Jan. 1, 2009. The Eastern Regional TPS territory includes Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia.
