JOB DESCRIPTION

Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida (CCNWFL) is seeking a Director of Operations. The ideal candidate is someone who not only has a strong operational background but also enjoys helping others and interacting with the community. CCNWFL has been serving the 18-counties across the Florida Panhandle since 1928, and though called Catholic Charities, we serve everyone regardless of their race, religion, or national origin.

Duties

Oversees multiple programs led by Program Directors, including: Pregnancy and Adoption Services, Immigration and Refugee Services, and Emergency Financial Assistance.

Collaborates with various stakeholders, including community partners, donors, staff, and volunteers, in an effort to grow the organization.

Coordinates tasks, office activities, and other team support, ensuring smooth, effective, and efficient operations throughout multiple offices in Northwest Florida.

Develops, implements, and oversees comprehensive staff training programs to ensure employees are well-equipped to perform their roles effectively and comply with organizational policies and regulations.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize and streamline program operations to maintain staff and client satisfaction.

Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the leadership team.

Ensures that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.

Develop and lead a strong team capable of supporting CCNWFL's performance and strategic growth strategies while fostering an engaging, positive work environment.

Maintains a sound plan of corporate organization, establishing policies to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.

Assist in the planning, development, and execution of the organization's Strategic Plan.

Help with the recruitment and retention of well-qualified employees.

Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive volunteer program, including recruiting, training, and managing volunteers.

Ensure a safe work environment by identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and promoting a culture of safety and compliance.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a non-profit environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of or ability to interpret contract requirements, regulatory guidelines, and funding compliance standards.
  • The position requires travel between our Pensacola, FWB, Panama City, and Tallahassee offices. An agency vehicle will be provided.
